MCB Consulting (MCBC) has been established with the objective of providing a wide array of solutions to financial services providers in different markets, prominently in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The company has proven and practical banking experience, originating from the Group Project Management Office of MCB Group, having, amongst others, conducted the business and IT re-engineering of the MCB Banking subsidiaries.

MCB Consulting Services Ltd is recruiting an “IT Consultant” for its Software Development team who is passionate and versed in IT Development to help drive expansion of our applications and services. The candidates should be able to design and develop on Core Banking systems and its eco-systems. They will also have the opportunity to work both in Mauritius and overseas on assignment basis around consulting, training, development and deployment of Business solutions.

 

Detailed Description

  • Analyse the needs of clients and translate their requirements into efficient programming code and provide or propose workable solutions
  • Document and maintain technical and programming specifications and test scripts
  • Review designs, code and test plans including testing of solutions and fault finding
  • Provide technical support and maintain solutions of existing clients
  • Enhance existing solutions by analysing and identifying areas for improvements
  • Undertake database design, development, table maintenance, performance tuning, data migration, troubleshooting operational issues, and support for our clients
  • Provide regular feedback on work progress and escalate risks, schedule; variances/delays, scope changes and potential issues/concerns to relevant stakeholders

 Job Requirements  

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in desigining, developing and maintaining software, Web or Mobile applications

 

Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge of Jbase, PL/SQL, MS SQL and My SQL programming
  • Knowledge of Java standard JEE application servers, Tomcat and IIS
  • Knowledge of Web services interfaces and integration (Java EE Services, SOAP, REST)
  • Knowledge of Web Technologies (C#, JSP, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, ASP.Net, PHP, ANGULAR / JS)
  • Knowledge of Application Programming (Java, .Net)

  • The candidate should be able to work under tight deadlines on flexible hours and to travel abroad;

  • Exposure to Java L3 Development
  • Working experience of Integration and interaction framework
  • Knowledge in technical working of Arrangement Architecture.
  • Previous experience of working on development of complex interfaces
