IT Consultant - BI Stream

MCBC is recruiting an “IT Consultant” to integrate our Business Intelligence unit.  The Consultant should be passionate and versed in BI Development methodologies to help drive expansion of our applications and services. The main responsibilities of the selected candidates will be to implement BI solutions, design and develop BI and analytical solutions. The candidates will also have the opportunity to work both in Mauritius and overseas on assignment basis around consulting, training, development and deployment of BI solutions.

 

Detailed Description

 

  • Analyse the needs of clients and translate their technical requirements into workable BI Solutions;
  • Provide expert assistance in the installation, design, development and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics systems.
  • Build Analytical models and communicate the workings/results of those models to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Develop, test and document BI Reports, Dashboards and KPIs;

 

Job Requirements  

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Data Science or related field.

Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience of working in a Business Intelligence related field.
  • Banking Experience is a plus.

Any other

  • The candidate should be able to work under tight deadlines on flexible working hours and be able to travel abroad, including to French speaking Territories depending on business needs and projects.

 Technical Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and working with RDBMS such as SQL server or PostgreSQL.
  • Working knowledge of ETL processes and their implementation using GUI tools (SSIS, ADF), SQL or Spark notebooks.
  • Working knowledge of BI and reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in working with Azure services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Containerization processes ( Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

Other requirements:

The candidate should be able to travel overseas.
