Brief Posting Description

MCB Consulting is looking for a Business Consultant for its Service and Maintenance Unit (SAMU). SAMU provides support and expertise on functional and technical Production issues raised by its clients in a wide array of banking areas encompassing Credit, Accounting, Retail, Payments/SWIFT, International Trade, and on the deployment of change requests. The Business Consultant will be assigned to the SAMU Support desk, and will focus on the resolution of tickets related to Level 2 functional issues raised by clients, and provide guidance and coaching to clients as well as team members whenever required.

 

Detailed Description

  • Attend to and follow up on assigned tickets and requests raised by clients on the ticketing platform in a timely manner and as per priorities agreed with the clients and SAMU leadership;
  • Perform a thorough and detailed analysis of issues and incidents raised by clients to identify their root cause and provide the most appropriate solution in a timely manner;
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base of issues and solutions thereto, to be used as reference for future issue resolution;
  • Build and maintain a trusted relationship with customers to ensure that their expectations are understood and met;
  • Rigorously follow up on tickets raised with service providers and provide them with the required information for a speedy resolution of these tickets;
  • Develop subject matter expertise through on the job and formal learning;
  • Produce high-quality verbal and written communication to clients (including email, customer presentations, or reporting, etc.);
  • Deliver training to customers which includes design, customization and update of Training Materials when required;
  • Participate as and when needed, in specific functional parts of an upgrade/implementation of a project.

 

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years’ of work experience in banking or financial sector;
  • In-depth understanding of banking systems and processes in areas such as Credit, Accounting, Retail, Payments/SWIFT, International Trade;
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel as well as other MS Office environment applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
