IT Consultant - Service and Maintenance Unit

Its key areas of focus include the provision of advisory services – which range from strategic planning and execution to risk management – business process reviews and organisation reviews, assistance in the selection, implementation and maintenance of Information Technology solutions as well as the delivery of training services.
MCBC’ scope of intervention is multi-fold, focusing primarily on ensuring that the three pillars of an organisation - people, process and technology - are in-tune, thus supporting the overall business strategy.

In light of the above, alongside our expansion strategy, MCBCS is looking for a passionate & result-focused IT Consultant for our team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyse the needs of clients and translate their requirements into workable programming code and provide or propose workable solutions
- Document and maintain technical and programming specifications and test scripts
- Review designs, code and test plans including testing of solutions and fault finding
- Provide technical support and maintain solutions of existing clients
- Enhance existing solutions by analysing and identifying areas for improvements
- Undertake database design, development, table maintenance, performance tuning, data migration, troubleshooting operational issues, and support for our clients
- Provide regular feedback on work progress and escalate risks, schedule; variances/delays, scope changes and potential issues/concerns to relevant stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in designing, developing and maintaining software, Web or Mobile applications
Technical Requirements
- Knowledge of Jbase, PL/SQL, MS SQL and My SQL programming
- Knowledge of Java standard JEE application servers, Tomcat and IIS
- Knowledge of Web services interfaces and integration (Java EE Services, SOAP, REST)
- Knowledge of Web Technologies (C#, JSP, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, ASP.Net, PHP, ANGULAR / JS)
- Knowledge of Application Programming (Java, .Net)
- Proficiency in MS Sharepoint
