MCB Consulting (MCBC) has been established with the objective of providing a wide array of solutions to financial services providers in different markets, prominently in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The company has proven and practical banking experience, originating from the Group Project Management Office of MCB Group, having, amongst others, conducted the business and IT re-engineering of the MCB Banking subsidiaries.
MCB Consulting Services Ltd is recruiting a “Senior IT Consultant” for its Software Development team who is passionate and versed in IT Design & Development to help drive expansion of our applications and services. The candidates should be able to deliver professional IT advisory service and end-to-end solutions in respect of business challenges linked to strategy, structure, management and operations into the organisation. Design and develop customisations on Core Banking systems and its eco-systems. They will also have the opportunity to work both in Mauritius and overseas on assignment basis around consulting, training, development and deployment of Business solutions.
Detailed Description
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical specifications.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of Temenos Transact T24, including its architecture, modules, and customization capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations based on best practices and industry standards.
- Analyse the needs of clients and translate their requirements into efficient workable solutions
- Document and maintain technical and programming specifications.
- Review designs, code and test plans including testing of solutions and fault finding
- Provide technical support and maintain solutions of existing clients
- Enhance existing solutions by analysing and identifying areas for improvements
- Conduct in-depth technical analysis of existing systems to identify migration requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical specifications.
- Develop and implement strategies for data cleansing and validation
- Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of the migrated systems.
- Provide regular feedback on work progress and escalate risks, schedule; variances/delays, scope changes and potential issues/concerns to relevant stakeholders
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, developing and maintaining software, Web or Mobile applications
Technical Requirements
- Temenos Transact
- Knowledge of Programming Language – Java
- Understanding of enterprise application deployment
- Knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL, DB 2
- Knowledge of PL/SQL, .NET, shell scripting
- Advance knowledge of Unix, Windows

- Expert knowledge in technical working of Arrangement Architecture.
- Practical understanding of Temenos Extensibility Framework
- Previous experiencing in designing re-usable and robust integration solutions.
