Pre-sales Operations Associate – Sales and Business Development

MCB Consulting is looking for a Pre-sales Operations Associate for its Sales and Business Development team who shall identify new business opportunities and promote consultancy services (more specifically in the financial and non-financial sector) to existing and potential customers and business partners.

 

Detailed Description

  • Participate actively in the  drafting of service costs  and client proposals for Expression of Interest (EOI) projects and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and  Terms of References (TOR) and Request for Informations (RFIs);
  • Provide quick and accurate responses to the technical queries of RFI/RFP’s, and facilitate all technology inquiries from clients, distributors, and partners;
  • Engage in the Pre-Sales phase by introducing technical aspects of MCBC product/services offering, and providing product demonstrations – functionality, technical requirements, etc. - by interfacing with prospective and current clients, distributors, and partners and recommending system solutions that ensure the optimum usage and utilization of MCBC products and services.
  • Record and maintain clients & leads’ information and sales opportunities on the CRM;
  • Conduct conference calls with clients, leads and partners to identify requirements for proposals;
  • Conduct follow-up activities with clients, leads and partners;
  • Carry out research, screening exercise and background checks with financial institutions to assess new leads;
  • Analyze sales performance metrics to assess progress towards targets. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Contribute to the organisation of  events and conferences in which MCBC participates;
  • Leverage on conferences and events to generate new leads and maintain client relationships;
  • Manage partner relationships with regular follow-up emails/calls and meetings ;
  • Organise and participate in Business Development trips - leverage on these activities to prospect for new leads;
  • Contribute to the Marketing and Communications activities of the company;
  • Develop a sense of urgency towards the continuous growth of the sales pipeline.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree in Business related field (Accounting, Finance and Business Management among others);
  • At least 10 years of work experience in sales, sales support or business development activities
  • Prior experience in consultancy would be an advantage

Job Competencies:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Knowledge of Efficient in Microsoft Office Tools namely, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Project;
  • Ability to look beyond the systems and understand the underlying Client requirements.
  • Experience in the Retail Banking industry - either directly in a Bank or via a Core Banking solution provider
  • Be able to cope with pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-starter with high aptitude to adapt proactively to changing environments
  • Demonstrate high planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and manage tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience and communication skills.
  • Be able to coordinate with internal stakeholders so they can provide high quality deliverables

Other Requirements:

  • Be able to travel overseas,
  • Be flexible and able to work at odd hours and during weekends and public holidays.
